A seasoned fashion designer for 24 years, Diane Kennedy, a native of Western Canada, lives and works by her philosophy of designing beautiful, comfortable clothes with women’s figures and respect for the environment in mind. It is this guiding principle that had Diane seeking ecofriendly fabrics like sleek and luxurious Bamboo and the amazingly soft and lightweight Tencel knit for her designs. Newer collections have sported soft yet warm Tencel/Wool blend knit and timeless, superfine, Australian wool.

Kennedy was inspired to create her own line of clothing that includes plus sizes because there just wasn’t anything fashionable out there in her size that met with her stylistic instincts. She soon became frustrated and disappointed with what was available. Being a designer and seasoned pattern maker who was creating beautiful and fashion-forward lines for smaller frames, she saw the potential that lay at her fingertips and the line of plus-sized Diane Kennedy fashions bloomed.
