When you think of Soy you usually think of something healthy to eat, but now, it is available as something you can wear! Soy fabric is made from the leftover dregs from soybean oil or tofu production. The protein is extracted and the fiber spun into cloth. It is an excellent recycle scenario that makes this fabric eco-friendly. Similar to natural silk, it is common for there to be occasional slubs in the soy fabric, which adds to its natural beauty.
Soy is incredibly soft and silky and is otherwise known as vegetable cashmere. Spandex is added for stretch and shape retention. This new fabric combines comfort, quality and fashion with the added benefit of being produced with minimal environmental impact.
Want soy in your tee?
Soy is as easy to care for as any cotton t-shirt. We recommend washing on the delicate cycle with similar soft garments (not rough denim or your son's Velcro gym shorts). Hang or lay flat to dry.
The dryer is not recommended as it will deteriorate the spandex and wear out your garment in general. (That pile of lint that you clean out of the dryer is the evidence!) If required, iron with no steam.
