Our Steveston Village tour continues along the river with a visit to the historic site of London Farm. You'll first notice the Victorian farmhouse with it's lovely front porch that is the centerpiece of this property. With mature shade trees and picnic tables on the lawn, this is the perfect place to enjoy a picnic lunch.
This heritage park is just over 4 acres with ample space to roam and explore the grounds. Walking around the spacious gardens is like stepping into the past. You'll see antique farm equipment and get an idea of the what farm life would have looked like in the 1880's in Richmond.
These out buildings have been restored to their original condition. Check out the classic red barn, hen house with live chickens and roosters, a pond, shady gazebo, vegetable garden with original fruit trees, fields of farmland and flowers.
The 1898 London farm house has been fully restored and furnished to illustrate rural life in Richmond between 1890 and 1920. Check and see if the Victorian Farmhouse is open again for tours.
