For the Love of the Ocean
There is nothing like escaping the hustle and bustle of city life and immersing yourself in the soothing ambiance of the seaside. Witness the unique turquoise hue that emerges when light filters through the peak of a wave, a spectacle that never ceases to amaze.
Just recently, my weekend escape led me to a charming cabin nestled on a cliff with a stunning view of the ocean. It was delightful to spend endless hours just admiring the waves dancing against the shore, especially from our private hot tub! The name of this serene haven? Point no Point. It's tucked away in a quaint town named Shirley, a stone's throw away from Sooke on Vancouver Island. We had a delightful time immersing ourselves in the tranquility of the forest, leading to untamed beaches and stunning coastlines just waiting to be discovered. I wore my Pink Cactus Eden Floral Shirt to climb the rocky point for which the resort is named. Naturally, we couldn't resist the call of the beach at low tide - it's one of my absolute favourite activities. You know what's really grown on me lately? The unique beauty of seaweed.
On our low tide adventure, we stumbled upon vibrant purple sea urchins. It's a bit of a treasure hunt, requiring a very low tide and journeying to the furthest tide pools to spot them. One beautiful morning we were lucky enough to get a close-up view of these fascinating creatures.
