Turn Back the Clock!

I can't believe 15 years have gone by! Since the beginning, it's been all about quality, sustainability and being locally made. And here we are all these years later, still staying true to our roots while evolving with the times. Who would've known what the past two years would bring? I am grateful to still be in business and designing beautiful garments that I can proudly say are completely made in Canada.

Contemporary Canadian made fashion that stands the the of time by Diane KennedyAll the way back to our very first collection and photoshoot in 2007 with Angela Raffin modeling. She's wearing the iconic Mod Tunic and our classic (still going strong) Serene Pants.

Contemporary Canadian made fashion that stands the the of time by Diane KennedyIn Spring 2011, we immortalized Scarlett Ballantyne into a jumbo poster that hung for years in our warehouse (after first being shown at a trade show in Las Vegas) I still love and wear this Soho Tunic, it's an all time favourite as are the Cafe Leggings. (Maybe I should bring the Soho Tunic back?)

Contemporary Canadian Fashion that stands the test of time by Diane KennedyIn Fall 2012 this fun style with a great back detail, the Espionage Jacket, was modeled by our Staff member Genesis Hiles. She was one of our pattern makers for a number of years and a really fun gal to have in the office.

Contemporary Canadian Fashion that stands the test of time by Diane KennedyEasily my all time favourite photo of the beautiful plus model Jihan Amer. Sadly she moved her home base to the US and we've been looking for a local model of colour ever since. She's wearing the Cruise Cami with the Deck Tights.

Another classic item we still make, the Perfect Tee can be found in current colours here

Contemporary Canadian fashion that stands the test of time by Diane Kennedy Jihan models again for us again in 2015 in a studio in Gastown where they later filmed parts of the movie "Fifty Shades of Grey". She's wearing the Persistence Tunic and the Attitude Skirt.

Canadian Designer Diane Kennedy holding a maple leafI'm so happy to continue to run my business in an ethical way and on my own terms.  We don't know what the future brings, but I have learned that we are stronger together when women support women. Thank-you from the bottom of my heart to all these amazing women that have brought my clothing to life! And thanks to you, all of my wonderful customers who have allowed me this privilege and been such a huge part of my success.
